The process of increasing your ranking on search engines can take months or even years, depending on a range of factors.

PPC, or “Pay Per Click Advertising”, allows businesses and website owners like you to bid on the chance to show your advertisement to a targeted audience with the goal of converting them into a lead or sale.

The benefit of PPC over SEO is that the results are immediate, while also allowing you to control the user experience. PPC advertising on platforms such as Google & Bing, allow your ads to be displayed at the very top of the search results (without needing to rank organically) which can increase targeted traffic to your website.

A boosted post is a post to your Facebook Page’s timeline that you can apply money to in order to boost it to an audience of your choosing. This is the simplest way to advertise on Facebook. Boosted posts differ from Facebook Ads because they are not created in Ads Manager and don’t have all of the same customization features.

We always recommend identifying advertising goals and creating a clear plan before you begin spending money on Facebook, or any other advertising platform.

Initially, this may seem like a good idea. For $60,000 – $70,000 per year, you could have a dedicated asset working on your marketing, or you could have one of your existing staff undergo a level of marketing training to level up. While this is absolutely a possible solution, the digital marketing world requires a much larger portfolio of skills.

The simple answer is yes. You can generate immediate traffic with a paid advertising campaign that shows ads to people when they search for keywords relevant to your product or service or are targetted by your ads based on their wants, needs and interests.

That said, paid advertising isn’t a silver bullet, it won’t generate leads or sales unless your website is set up to take advantage of the traffic that is generated. (Heck, unless your ads are optimised carefully, you won’t even get traffic.)

All too many business owners have fallen prey to the lure of running a “Google Ads” (formally Google Adwords) campaign by punching in a few quick ads, or boosting the odd post on Facebook and then hoping for the best, spending hundreds or thousands of dollars with nothing the show for it.
